FAQs
Q. What does National Rehab do?
A. National Rehab provides wound care, ostomy and urological supplies directly to patients
in their homes. We then bill their insurances for the supplies thereby eliminating the need
for patients to seek their own supplies from a DME provider or pharmacy.
Q. Who is responsible for getting the insurance authorizations for the wound care supplies?
A. National Rehab employs a team of authorization specialists experienced in all the protocols, requirements and technicalities involved in obtaining insurance approvals. We do all the work for you. We will notify you or your patient of our findings, usually on the same day we receive the initial order.
Q. Can you provide service and supplies to Medicaid and Medicare patients?
A. Yes. National Rehab is contracted with Medicare and many state Medicaids across the country. If you are a Home Healthcare Agency, we can service your Medicare patient immediately following discharge from your service.
Q. What other insurance companies do you have contracts with?
A. We have contracts with many of the major insurance providers in your area. We add insurance company contracts on an ongoing basis and will be happy to contact any carrier necessary to assist you in caring for your patient's wound care needs. Refer to the insurance section of our website for a list of current contracts or click here.
Q. How long does it take to get started with your program?
A. Simply call us at 800-451-6510 and give us your patient's demographics and wound details, and your patient's supplies will be shipped that same day. You can also enter an order electronically by clicking on
the Place Order Now button in the left-hand column of this page.
Q. How much does it cost to take advantage of your services?
A. There is no cost or contract to sign. We bill the insurance companies for the costs of supplies. If there is a co-pay requirement or deductible issue, we will contact your patient and explain to them their financial responsibilities.
Q. Do you stock any of the new "advanced" wound care supplies?
A. Yes. We stock a variety of dressings from all the major manufacturers. Our wound care specialists in customer service are knowledgeable of all new wound care products and will be happy to discuss availability and efficacy with you.
Q. Is my patient going to get overloaded with wound care supplies?
A. No!! We strictly follow all Medicare and Medicaid guidelines. Your patient will receive no more than a 30 day supply of dressings per shipment. When a reorder is necessary, we first contact the physician, the caregiver or the patient for a needs determination. We never automatically ship reorders.
